Filipe Toledo was born in Brazil and has competed as a pro surfer on the WSL Men's World Tour since 2013. Becoming the World Qualifying Series Champion In 2014 Toledo left his mark on the world as another member of the new era of Brazilian up and coming world beaters.

2015 was the best year for Filipe Toledo of his professional career on the WSL World Championship Tour. Winning his first 3 WCT events, while managing to getting at least one perfect 10 in each of the finals he competed in.

Finishing the year strongly in 4th place in the WSL rankings, Toledo was also the surfer with most WCT event wins of the year setting him up for a big 2016.
